4 days Animal Kingdom Safari



Day 1:  Mombasa to Tsavo East  National Park
This trip took us through the vast Taru desert to the nearest natinal park from mombasa. Tsavo East and our first glance was a family masai ostrich with their young ones... the area is wet following heavy rains and animals are few. we arrived at Ndololo Camp for lunch and thereafter we drove further to Man eaters camp for overnight



 Day 2 : Tsavo East to Amboseli Kilima Camp
The drive was smooth along the highway to Emali and then left turn towards loitoktok where our driver showed us clear views of kilimanajaro before driving on 22 kms of  rough road to our camp for lunch.  Kilima Camp ist located just outside the Amboseli National Park , very nice to view large of elephants, Kilimanjaro from the rooms.  afternoon game viewing in the park was rewarding as we could take lots of pictures with kilimanjaro ,,,amazing with the large herds of elephants roaming on the swamps





Day 3 : Amboseli to Tsavo west Voyager Camp
We had to join a convoy to Tsavo west  and when aked our guide why should there be military, he said was a goverment arrangements to have all tourist buses escorted along this rough road through chylu hills onto mzima springs where we saw another natural landform, the springs, the lava and many volcanic cones allover we could look around. our lunch was at Kitana Severin Camp and finally checked in at Voyager Ziwani camp for overnight....before Dinner we were taken around on a night game drive where we saw lots of Hippos and other nocturnal animals like genet cats, Bushbabys.



 Day 4 : Tsavo West to Mombasa
we had breakfast and thereafter we drove through the park to arrive at Voi wildlife for lunch and later we arrived at our beach hotel in the evening...it was a short and memorable safari with Arlom safaris....good organisation with quality services throughout.

8 days tsavo east, Nairobi, Masai Mara, Naivasha, Amboseli, Tsavo West Safari Mombasa safari

Day 1:  we started our safari from mombasa airport and our driver was anderson who took us to tsavo east voi safari lodge for lunch....before lunch we had a game drive which we saw lots of giraffes, leopard, and elephants. see photo below......afternoon game drive was abit difficult,,,few animals but food and view of vois safari lodge was beyond our expectaion....excellent!!!!!



Day 2 : after breakfast was along drive to Nairobi (370 Km) and had lunch at the carnivore restaurant.  After lunch was followed by a short excursion to giraffe centre and karen blixen where we had opportunity to feed and kiss the rothschild giraffe.  Our dinner and overnight was at the Southern Sun Mayfair Hotel....

Day 3 : Our driver picked us up at 0730 hrs and we drove through the escapment and the great riftvalley to stop at the busy agricultural town of Narok and home of the masai herdsmen...Our lunch was at Mara sopa lodge...afternoon game drive was excellent,, we saw lots of animals but to mention a few: gnus, zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs.....

Day 4: this day was spent in the mara where our driver arranged picnic lunches so as we could go on game drives the full day....we encountered lots of animals and below is one of the scenario:


a pride of lions about 20 were sorounded by a herd of buffalos where the hunter became the hunted as you can see on the foto 2 young lions below were forced to climb up this tree to save their lives.


Day 5: after breakfast our driver picked us up for another hectic drive of about 100km of very bad road to Narok town and  then through wheat plantations on the floor of the great riftvalley with picturesque views of mt longonot and mt suswa ....we arrived at Naivasha sopa lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Day 6: after breakfast was another long journey through nairobi and then to amboseli where we stopped at a picnic site for our lunch...after lunch we went on a game drive in amboseli where we encountered large herd of elephants crossing the plains..it was very attractive and adventourous seeing the rouge elephants crossing between buses.



Day 7 : this day began with an early morning game drive after breakfast at the lodge and thereafter we joined the 09.00 o'clock convoy to tsavo west where we stopped at the sheitani lava, mzima springs before we arrived at ngulia lodge for lunch...the lodge is old and with nice views of the plains....food was good....

Day 8 : after breakfast we drove back to mombasa arriving at our hotel  in the early afternoon.....generally we had a nice trip of our lifetime....the roads to masai mara were terreble and the stretch from amboslei to chyulu gate in tsavo west.

3 Days Tsavo East and Tsavo West Kenya Safari

I am so excited about our recent safari to Tsavo East and Tsavo West Kenya Safari and thought why not share this with all of you.

Indicated is the itinerary and the pictures showing what events were encountered during the safari

Day 1: Malindi  - Tsavo East
(Distance from Malindi to Tsavo East Sala Gate - 120 Km)

Depart from your Malindi /Watamu hotel or residence after early breakfast and drive to Tsavo East National Park. Enter the park through Sala gate and then proceed on a game drive en route to Ndololo Camp for lunch. After lunch game drive enroute to Pattersons Camp for Dinner and overnight.

Afternoon game drive was total different as we saw lions on our way to Pattersons Camp and we had adventure by climbing one of the ancient precambrian rocks of tsavo east " mudanda Rock"...below are the pictures we shot:



Day 2 : depart after breakfast and drive along the mombasa/Nairobi highway to enter Tsavo west national Park through mtito andei gate and proceed to mzima springs and later to kitani severin camp for lunch.  Afternoon was spent on leisure...Before dinner was a night game drive which was interesting as our guide told us to look for eyes of animals with the aid of his spotlight.


Day 3 : We had a mornng nature walk before breakfast and on our way we came close to hippos and crocodiles...after breakfast we departed for mombasa with lunch stop at Voi wildlife lodge.  It was a short and adventurous tour for us.
